About Pamela Hart
Pamela Hart is widely regarded as one of Austin, Texas' finest vocalists and has been honored as "Austin's First Lady of Jazz" by Austin Women’s Magazine. Known for her Impeccable intonation, grace, and style, Pamela draws deep inspiration from the great masters of jazz, particularly Billie Holiday and Miss Nancy Wilson. Her performances reflect Holiday's and Wilson’s emotional depths, with a passion and voicing all of her own. In 2018, Pamela was inducted into the Austin Jazz Society Hall of Fame, and in 2023, she was named Best Jazz Performer at the Black Music Awards - Houston.
As co-founder of the Women in Jazz Association, Inc., she is also dedicated to fostering jazz education and community outreach. Pamela and her husband Kevin C. Hart produced (and she performs in) the semi-annual Women in Jazz Concert Series—the greatest events for female jazz musicians in Texas—1994 through 2025. Through her concerts and mentorship, Pamela uplifts women in jazz and nurtures rising talent. Her artistry and leadership have made a lasting impact on the jazz community in Texas and beyond. Whether on stage or in service, she continues to champion the legacy and future of jazz.
